News on Tilly-Wood Map (Streets for All)

Thank you to everyone who came along to the showcase event at St George’s Church in Tillydrone this Wednesday. It was great to see so many people and your involvement in the project as a whole has helped develop some really exciting designs for your neighbourhood. In total we had over 70 people come together from the community to see the updated designs and get involved in the activities. The updated concept design was displayed along with results from the public consultation and the changes that have been made. Members of the public had the opportunity to talk to some of the team about the designs in more detail.

We took people around the project area to talk through some of the proposed changes and answer any questions.

We’d like to thank the Tuk-in team from Cfine who put on a fantastic spread of homemade soups, sandwiches and cake. And weren't we so lucky with the weather too!

We also had along a 'Dr Bike' from Adventure Aberdeen, a bike mechanic who had a queue of bikes ready to fix. His handy work was not gone unnoticed and he received several thank you cards from the children who's bikes are now ready for the Summer!

We’d like to thank all of the representatives from local groups who came to talk about events and activities to get you outdoors which included Cycling UK, Healthwalks, Grampian Cycling partnership and Aberdeen Multicultural centre.

You can view the updated designs online alongside explanations of the changes in the design. The designs are now being handed over to Aberdeen City Council for further development towards construction.

Thank you again for everyone who has been involved in the project over the last year. We've really enjoyed working with you!
