Over 150 people stop by for project launch

Thank you to everyone who came along to the launch of the Tilly-Wood Street Design Project on Wednesday 19 September. It was a busy day with the project team located across Tillydrone and Woodside meeting with the local community and hearing their ideas for the area. You may have seen us outside McColls on Hayton Road and Tesco on Great Western Road or inside Tillydrone Library and Woodside Community Centre. Thank you for battling through the wind and coming to say hello!

Later on, we held an evening event at Aberdeen Lad’s Club and, despite the high winds, we had a great turn out from the local community who met the project team, had the opportunity to read more about the project and take part in interactive activities. If you didn’t get a chance to read the information on display, you can view and download out round the room display here .

Upcoming events

Join us on Tuesday 2 October for a led walk around Tillydrone and Woodside run by Aberdeen Health Walks. Meet at 11am outside Woodside Community Centre for a 1-hour walk of the area. Finish with a free cup of tea/coffee and a chat at Woodside Community Centre Café.

Our next event will be a practical model kit workshop in November where you will have the opportunity to redesign the area by using props and miniature models. Everyone is welcome to attend, more details will be posted on this blog in due course. In the meantime please keep checking this site for details of upcoming events or contact emily.gait@sustrans.org.uk for more information.
